SAT新制考試注意事項

1. Although the new SAT digital exam will be conducted online, the goal of measuring students’ analytical skills and knowledge for college and career does not change. This means that the current ways to prepare for the SAT are all still effective and do not need to be drastically changed. Scores will still be measured by 1600.

即使新制SAT將在線上舉行，考試的目的依然是測驗學生的分析能力以及未來大學和職場所需具備的基本知識。這也代表現有的SAT準備考試方法對新制也會一樣有效果，不需要太大幅度改變準備考試的方法。分數也將會一樣維持滿分1600。

在電腦化SAT的前導測試中，有80%的學生離開考場以後表示SAT電腦化測驗和原本的紙筆測驗比較起來壓力減少。

3. The College Board built a digital testing application that will completely lock down the computer in order to avoid cheating. Students will not be able to browse any websites or open another screen. (Source: https://youtu.be/YW_uLmklZag)

為防止作弊，College Board 建立了一項測驗申請表將會封鎖除了答題以外的其他用途。學生將不能使用任何瀏覽器或打開不相關的頁面及視窗。

4. Give each student a “comparable but unique” version of the SAT. All versions test the same core skills in math, reading, and writing, but do it with different questions. (Source: https://youtu.be/YW_uLmklZag)

轉線上以後，每位學生將會收到可比較但獨一無二的考題，以防止作弊行為。考題將會用稍微不同的考題來測試相同的數學、閱讀和寫作核心能力。

線上考試會從原本的三小時減至兩小時。題目也會相對縮短，延長學生每題答題的時間。

6. The reading section will be more concise. The readings are much shorter and there will only be one question related to each reading passage. This may suggest that the relationships between each sentence are more important and relevant. Also, the reading and writing section are combined.

閱讀題會更簡潔明瞭，文章比以往簡短，且一篇文章只會有一題相對應的題目。這也會代表文章中句子間的關係更顯重要，需更加注意以利作答。另外，原閱讀和寫作兩大題將會合併。

7. All students can use the Desmos online graphing calculator when they take the Math section of the digital SAT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9. Unlike before, students are permitted to use calculators during the whole session of the math exam.（Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPFseETCcKo)

全體學生在考數學測驗時皆可使用Desmos 線上科學計算機。且不同於以往，整個數學大題都可以使用計算機。

8. Preview online for sample questions and get to know the access of tools during the exam: 

   1. Clock: Counts down the time left for each section and gives a 5-minute warning. Can be hidden.

   2. Mark for review: Allows students to flag questions for later review.

   3. Embedded Desmos calculator: Available onscreen for calculator-allowed questions.

   4. Reference: Allows students to view standard mathematical formulas.

   5. Notes: For digital note-taking; students also receive scratch paper.

   6. Highlighter: Available for making text, questions, and answer options.

   7. Line focus: Combines line reader with masking to guide students as they read.

   8. Strikethrough: Allows students to eliminate answer options.

   9. Zoom in/zoom out: Enlarges the text and images on a test page.
